Waveboard is a client software for Google Wave for Mac OSX and iPhone
Waveboard integrates Google Wave as you expect it to be from your experience with Apple Mail and other community tools e.g. Twitter Clients or instant messaging. Therefore you get informed of changes via badge symbol in the dock, global colored menu entry and Growl notification. All distracting features of browsers are not needed to use Wave, therefore they have been removed to let you focus on your work with Wave.

For web conferences you should try http://www.showdocument.com ,
Great for online teaching and collaborating. I use it for working on my designs with other in my field.
Its free and pretty simple – you just upload your file and invite others to view it together.
