Will I regret switching from Debian Linux to Freebsd?

You won’t regret switching to FreeBSD.
There are pros and cons of course but when I swithced to FreeBSD I got all I wanted in terms of stability and more regarding the maintainance of my Operating Sytem.
FreeBSD is is an advanced operating system running a huge number of applications, it is easy to install and provides advanced networking, and performance that other Linux OS don’t provide.
Historically, Linux has been developped in a fast and furious way, the frenzy produced a number of different Linux versions, some incompatible changes with other Unix systems and more than a few security bugs. Debian belongs to this family.
FreeBSD on the other hand has one unique reference and like Linux it supports symmetric multiprocessing, but it also has automatic memory allocation, diverting to programs or the disk cache as necessary. FreeBSD also has a very easy-to-use installation and configuration system. One interestign feature is FreeBSD can run software compiled for Linux as well as one another. This lets you choose an operating system based on its strengths rather than on which applications it happens to support.
If you’re trying to get the most for your money or if you want a higher level of security, take a look at the BSDs. The rewards can be considerable.
I experimented that and I don’t regret it at all.
