When will Google Chrome OS be released?
I hear it is to be released in October of either 2009 or 2010. And no, I am not talking about the Google Chrome Browser, or Google Android Mobile OS. I have used the browser, and was very impressed with its speed and reliability, and look forward to those traits in the entire Google operating system. I would like a link to a Google page that has information about the new operating system, and possibly a download of a beta I may try.

They are going to release it shortly after Windows 7 that will be released on the 23 October 2009, but unfortunately, the release date is not confirmed.

this will not be available until the middle of 2010 and i wouldn’t recommend it to anyone

It will initially be targeted at netbooks,[2] and is set to be released during the second half of 2010.[3] It will run on systems with either x86 or ARM processors.[4] Google has stated that the Google Chrome OS project will be open source[5] by the end of 2009, and that it will use “a new windowing system”.[6]

Google will open-source Chrome OS later this year. We’re certainly excited! We are waiting for Google Chrome OS. It’ll be very interesting to see what Chrome OS looks like for netbook systems.

The only indication we have is that it will be released mid 2010 and initially it will be available on netbooks. Chances are that Google will make it available for download on the same day they release it.
There isn’t a specific Google page yet but information has been released on blogs.

that’s stupid. all you need is OS X.
it’s the most stable, self-debugging OS there is period
