I am worried about my baby and the Swine flu?
I am VERY worried about the swine flu.I am a mother of a 7 month old baby boy.I am afraid that he is going to get it.Because babies can not fight off sickness as well as adults.
Are any other mothers worried about this?

I am!!! But my husband is so laid back. It makes me upset. I told him if she gets it I’ll make his suffer! lol But I believe I read somewhere there IS a medication … but maybe I read wrong. :-/ Either way, yes, I’m waaaay paranoid!

Not at all. I don’t think it’s an epidemic. I think it’s a MEDIA epidemic because they have nothing better to do with their time. Most of the news stations refuse to criticize Obama, so they say a quick ‘go, Obama” speech and then reek havoc with this so called “epidemic”

i live in san diego so its hard to avoid people who just came from mexico..its hard knowing who just went and who has not so many people drive back and forth every day for jobs..
im so scared..if you don’t live in an infected area i would not worry to much …wash your hands and keep hand sanitizer on you always

this swine flu is not the same as a human flu at all it is a mixture of bird pig and human and there are different strains of it. if your baby has any symptoms of flu take him to a dr right away. this flu is dangerous but nothing to worry or lose sleep over. take regular sanitary precautions. my daughter is 7 months old as well and of course you think about it but only 2 percent of people infected with this swine flu will die. take it easy and love her lotz good luck

i’m extremely worried about it.. my daughter has been sick all last week with flu like symptoms but we took her to 3 diff doctos cause 2 said nothing was wrong. turns out she has upper respiratory infection.. but yesterday and today she has had extremely watery diarrhea and projectile vomiting.. so i’m very worried about her getting it/having it right now.

Swine flu isn’t any worse than any influenza infection its just that its not common so most of us don’t have antibodies for it so more people are going to get it than normal.

THIS IS SERIOUS,
Yes I too am worried,so worried in fact I pulled my daughter out of school today for the rest of the school yr. Normally I am not a paranoid person.,but in only a few days hundreds of cases have arised! This is no joke, and I am not taking any chances. Tell me I am crazy, fine by me! This is my children’s life and I am not about to take any chances. It already spread north to canada and right below me.Cases in fact where they were brought in for a cold, and didnt even know it was the swine flu.
I am washing hands more with them especiially, keeping house spotless, and avoiding high traffic places. Such as malls, ect.covering mouth when sneezing n not with your hand, ect.
Best of luck to everyone!
Go to cnn.com to get more detailed info about how to avoid getting it.

People die from influenza every year. This is just a new strain and because it’s new people are afraid. The media isn’t helping by it’s “Be Afraid, be VERY Afraid” propaganda.
Just take all the same precautions you would with any kind of illness out there. Paranoia won’t help.

Honestly not really. I’m as worried as I would be with other illnesses. The swine flu is the same thing (symptom-wise) as a regular flu only it comes from pigs. Take the normal precautions that you normally would for illnesses. The only reason people have died from the swine flu is because they weren’t able to get access from a hospital or doctor. I think that it’s being made more of a worry than it really should be.
Only 64 cases in the entire US.
