Eric J asked:

I’m thinking of buying a ’06 Jetta and the previous owner added chrome accessories around the front, the mirrors, & trim along the side. Is it possible to remove & how difficult is it?

its fairly easy to remove. the hard part is getting the glue off with out damaging the paint. many ways to remove the glue and you may have to try a few

Ask the dealership to do it as a condition of the purchase. I always have them take of the dealership branding stuff when I buy cars at dealers.

It is possible to remove, but with a bit of effort.

To remove glue, soak with baby oil and heat with a hair-dryer.

Ask the garage were you are buying it to remove the trim as part of the deal, if he is not willing to do this, then ask what he will charge to remove it. The higher the price, generally the higher the degree of difficulty in removing it.
