Personally, I think that if Google produces a fast, nice and easy-to-use OS, it might beat Microsoft, but that’s going to be hard, since a lot of people use Windows XP and now Windows 7.

Over time i think it will beat Microsoft Windows if not it will definitely take away Microsoft’s share in the market by a great margin. The main advantage to Chrome OS is being Open Source where developers all over the world can come with their own code and also it will be free.

Google Chrome OS is releasing an open source, lightweight operating system that will initially be targeted at netbooks. Google will open-source Chrome OS later this year.

Google’s focus will always be internet.

For the time-being, ChromeOS will be available on NetBook’s, hence the word, “Net” or “Internet” or “mostly for Internet Surfing”, but , won’t happen till 2010.
