OK I used the Trial version of Mailwasher Pro for my non web-based email but the time has expired and I am looking for a freeware replacement. It needs to be able to allow me to view the emails and assign an entire domain to a blacklist or mark as safe then it will bounce or at minimum delete the mail before downloading to my local drive. Mailwasher has been the perfect solution however I am looking for freeware or opensource options. Any suggestions?

Are you running the mail server? ClamAV can scan for viruses from the server side, then SpamAssassin can be used for all the blocking stuff. Thunderbird has options to use SpamAssassin’s junk filter when it downloads from IMAP or POP
