Most of the mexican gov'ts finances have been tied up in fighting against the drug cartels that are causing alot of violence along the U.S. Mexican border. This leaves little money and energy in their healtcare system which is why many people are being affected in Mexico. In addition, in the larger cities of Mexico peoples' immune systems have been weakend by living amongst the polution. People in the U.S.A have adequate health care as well as strengthened immune systems. If it is going from New York to California and there far apart than it could go everywhere to be honest all it takes is for one person to cough or sneeze and than other people are screwed. What you can do to prevent it well wash your hands all the time, If you cough or sneeze do it in a tissue and than immediately throw it away, The masks that people are wearing I honestly don't think will help them a lot, They have pores in them and there still not going to be safe from the Swine Flu.
