Someone I know is taking a trip to Mexico this week. Should I be worried about the swine flu?
My girlfriend’s brother is taking a vacation to Mexico this week as part of a high school junior-senior trip. Should I be worried about the spread of swine flu?

yes, just not a very good time. I wouldn’t want your friend getting ill not pleasant.
and the travel advisory against mexico might prevent her from traveling there in the first place.

Only about a dozen people have been infected with the swine flu in the U.S. (all of which are making recoveries). Probably unlikely for him to get the swine flu, but make sure he washes his hands and whatnot. CDC says to treat the swine flu like the normal flu. I think it’s best if he gets a check-up after he comes back, or at least tell him to be aware of the virus in Mexico. I hope he has a safe trip. Take care! Though, it’d be better to not do any non-essential traveling to Mexico. Everywhere is closing down.

They are probably not going to be able to go. Flights to Mexico are being discouraged now.
