software237 What is the best software program to monitor employee work time/attendance on site?
Anti_Censorship asked:

Does anyone know of a good software program where an employee can walk up to the front desk, clock in electronically on a computer we already have without the need for any cards or badges? And then do the same to clock out at the end of the day? Then an administrator would need to access the program on another networked computer at the end of the day to see a report on how many hours each employee worked? Anyone know a program like this or a place to look for one? Thanks!

I’m a computer programmer, but I have a better idea.

Give each of your employees their goals for the week, and then have them submit a status report at the end of the week. Don’t be a Clock Nazi. They will hate you for it.

A good employee who is allowed to come in at 10 for a doctor’s appointment and still leave at 5 will get as much work done as the other employees who came in at 8.
