What is is the difference between installed and preinstalled software?

I agree with travis lettuce , however in simple terms the two different terms are merely a redundancy (the part of a message that can be eliminated without loss of essential information ). Installed in what ever the manner , the result is the same.

Preinstalled software means that the Software is installed by the manufacturer before it is sent to the consumer. Installed software is software that is installed by the consumer after they received the computer like installing AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, Games that you buy, and various applications that you download.
Definition:
Preinstalled: “Software that is installed by the manufacturer and ready to use.”
