Do you think Muslims are less likely to catch Swine flu than people who eat pork?
Does Swine Flu spread through Pork consumption? Isn’t it just amazing how we don’t have to worry about catching it through that way? Or is it not even contracted through pork…?

It is spread person to person and is an airborne virus as well. Cooking meat products destroys any virus that might be lurking inside, so unless someone is eating raw pork, they aren’t going to catch it from their sausage or ham steak or whatever.

No, it’s not contagious through consumption of pork. It’s contagious through coughing, shaking hands with people infected with the virus, etc.

I’m so glad us Muslims like you said dont have to worry about the swine flu as much as the people who actually do consume pork. But I heard you can still get it even if you dont consume pork

It is my hope that all the Muslim terrorists catch it and die. It’s a virus. You don’t get it by eating pork.

No junior, it’s not through consumption. It’s a flu. If you are a farmer, you could get it. If the farmer goes and sneezes on someone, they could pass it on to others who in turn pass it on to you. It’s germs, viral, spreadable.

Afaik, it’s spread by air like any other flu virus. Presumably it had its origin in pigs, and then mutated to become a strain that infects humans.

It is called the swine flu because it is a strain of the flu virus that can infect birds, pigs and humans due to common DNA. It has nothing to do with eating pork. I guess since we already had a bird flu, they chose to call this one swine. So your diet has no affect on if you can catch it or not. It is just like any other form of flu, if you are in contact with someone who has it, you can catch it.

No.
Birds also carry the swine flu.
Influenza is not contracted by eating cooked meat. Influenza is usually contracted through vapor/droplets: coughing, sneezing, unwashed hands, etc.

Swine flu is an evolved version of the H1N1 subtype of the Influenza A virus; it’s an airborne pathogen that is not transmissible via consumption of infected meat. Strictly person to person, unless it undergoes further mutation.

It spreads from person to person and through carnitas.
