in Nokia 5800, do you still need to keep the songs in your PC once you’ve transferred it to the cellphone?

so is Nokia 5800 capable of transferring songs from the cellphone and PC and back? will all my songs be deleted once i remove them from the computer? any help would be appreciated. PLEASE. thanks in advance.
