If ever there was a swine flu pandemic, would a P100 respirator be able to protect me?

Delta asked:
I have a P100 respirator that I use to protect me from asbestos. Could it be used to protect me efficiently from swine flu, if ever there was a pandemic?

No. It is not made for pathogens. It would be funny to see you walking around with it though. Wash your hands. Bathe thoroughly and regularly. Stay away from sick people. Don’t put your hands around your face or mouth.

Protect you from what, mutating into a zombie pig?
Wash your hands frequently, especially before you touch your face or mouth and you won’t need your P100.
